Recording a Cisco Webex Meeting

Recording a Cisco Webex Meeting is as easy as 1-2-3!

Cisco Webex Meetings makes it easy to record meetings in the cloud for people who can’t attend, or for those who want to refer back to what was discussed.

As the host or alternate host of a meeting from your Webex Meetings account, you can record meetings in the cloud. Your cloud recordings include participant audio, video, and anything that’s shared during the meeting. If you’re attending a meeting, you can’t record the meeting yourself. Ask the host to record it and share the recording with you.

For desktop users:

  1. Select the RecorderRecorder button
  2. Select the Record in cloud option
  3. Select the Record button
  4. To pause, resume or stop the recording you can press the Recorder button again.

For mobile users:

  1. Press the More More button
  2. Press Record
  3. To pause, resume or stop the recording you can press the MoreMore button again.

Recordings in the cloud save in MP4 format.

Depending on file size and bandwidth, it can take up to 24 hours to receive your recording. There’s an unprecedented amount of remote work happening around the world due to COVID-19, so it may take longer than usual to receive your recording.

When the recording is ready, we’ll send you an email with the recording and all the details you need to play and share it with others.
